Our stance
Simple: we take as little as possible.
Voisu is a tool, not a platform. We have no interest in building a profile of you, tracking your behaviour, or monetising your data. The only information we hold is what we need to run the service.
Voice & transcription
Your audio is transcribed, then discarded.
When you use voice-to-text, your audio is routed through our secure server-side infrastructure to a third-party AI provider for transcription. Neither we nor the provider retain your audio after the transcription is complete. The provider runs open-source speech recognition models for inference only — your audio is never used to train any model.
If text cleanup is enabled, the transcript is also passed to the provider's language model to fix punctuation and capitalisation. That text is equally not stored or retained.
Your audio is never sent directly from your device to a third party. The provider we use may change over time.
Free features
Most of Voisu runs entirely on your machine.
The quick access menu, virtual desktop switching, window tiling, screenshots, media controls, and clipboard manager all run locally. None of these features send any data anywhere. They work offline and always will.
Account data
We only hold what's needed for your subscription.
For Pro subscribers, we store your email address and billing information to manage your subscription. Your payment details are handled by our payment processor and never touch our servers directly. We do not sell, share, or trade this information with third parties.
Analytics & diagnostics
We measure the product, not the person.
To keep Voisu working well, we use two limited tools: Google Analytics on our website to see which pages people visit, and crash and error reporting (Sentry) inside the app so we can find and fix bugs. We do not run advertising networks, and we do not sell or share this data.
What these tools never see matters more than what they do. Crash reports carry technical details like the error and where it happened in our code. They never include your transcribed text, your audio, or your clipboard. We do not build a profile of you, record your sessions, or track your behaviour across the app.
The line we hold is simple: your words stay yours. Nothing you dictate, ask, or copy is ever attached to analytics or crash data.
