What exactly is free?
Every core feature: transcription (up to 2,000 words a day), the Quick Actions radial, the Desktop Switcher, the Power Bar, and the messaging sidebar. Pro unlocks the AI layer: cleanup, Ask AI, Read Text, Summarise and Translate, plus unlimited transcription.
What do the AI features actually do?
AI cleanup rewrites your raw transcript with proper punctuation, paragraphs, and removes filler. Ask AI takes a voice or typed question plus any selected text and returns an answer. Read Text speaks the selected text aloud, and Summarise and Translate rewrite it in place.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account page and your subscription ends at the billing period. Your free features stay active either way.
Is early access pricing really locked in forever?
Yes. Subscribers who join during early access keep their launch rate for as long as they stay subscribed, even after the price increases.
Does it work offline?
Yes, for most of the app. The Quick Actions menu, the Desktop Switcher, and the Power Bar (app launcher, window switcher, calculator, unit conversion, emoji, kill process) run fully offline. Transcription, every AI feature, the Power Bar's dictionary and web-search commands, and the messaging sidebar need an internet connection.
Do I need to sign in?
Only for transcription and the AI features, which route through our servers. Sign in free with email, Google, or Microsoft. The Quick Actions menu, Desktop Switcher, Power Bar (non-AI commands), and messaging sidebar all work without a Voisu account.
Is my voice data stored anywhere?
No. Audio passes through our servers with no identity attached — there is no link between your voice and your account. Recordings are discarded immediately after transcription and transcripts are never retained.
